Notes
- The gradient of milk influences the drink. For a dessert drink, half-and-half or heavy cream is usually the move. If I want a more alcohol taste and lighter drink, I use 2% or whole milk.
INGREDIENTS
- Vodka (1.5 oz)
- Kahlúa (0.75 oz)
- Heavy Cream or Half-and-Half (3/4 oz)
- Ice (I prefer one large ice cube)
Equipment
- Rocks glasses
DIRECTIONS
- Fill a rocks glass with one large ice cube.
- Pour the vodka and coffee liqueur over the ice in the glass.
- Stir gently to combine.
- Slowly pour the heavy cream or half-and-half over the back of a spoon held against the rim of the glass. This helps the cream to float on top of the cocktail.
- Optionally, give it a gentle stir to mix the cream slightly into the drink.
