INGREDIENTS
- Bourbon or Rye Whiskey (2 oz.)
- Sugar cube or Simple Syrup
- Angostura Bitters (2-3 ashes)
- Orange peel
- Ice

- Rocks glass
DIRECTIONS
- Place the sugar cube (or simple syrup) in an old-fashioned glass (also known as a rocks glass).
- Add 2-3 dashes of Angostura bitters onto the sugar cube.
- Muddle the sugar cube with the bitters until it’s dissolved (if using simple syrup, skip this step).
- Fill the glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the bourbon or rye whiskey over the ice.
- Stir gently to combine.
- Drop the orange peel or twist into the glass.
