INGREDIENTS
- Tequila (2 oz)
- Triple Sec or Cointreau (1 oz)
- Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice (1 oz)
- Simple Syrup (adjust to taste)
- Ice
- Optional: Salt for rimming the glass
- Optional: Lime wedge for garnish
Equipment
- Cocktail Shaker
- Margarita glasses
DIRECTIONS
- If you want a salted rim, rub a lime wedge around the rim of the margarita glass and dip it into a plate of salt to coat the rim. Set the glass aside.
- Fill a shaker with ice cubes.
- Pour the tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, and simple syrup into the shaker.
- Shake the mixture vigorously until well-chilled.
- Strain the cocktail into the prepared margarita glass filled with ice.
- Optionally, garnish with a lime wedge on the rim.
