Notes
- The quality of the espresso significantly influences the flavor of the cocktail, so use freshly brewed espresso if possible.
- You can also adjust the sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup.
- Before you start, put water & ice into your glasses to chill them while you make the drink.
INGREDIENTS
- Vodka (2 oz)
- Fresh Espresso (Double Shot)
- Kahlúa (1 oz) (or other coffee liqeur if you’re desperate)
- Ice
- Garnish: Three coffee beans
- Simple syrup (to taste)
Equipment
- Cocktail Shaker
- Martini Glasses
DIRECTIONS
- Brew a shot of espresso and let it cool for a few minutes (can put in refrigerator).
- Fill a mixing glass or shaker with ice cubes.
- Pour the vodka, Kahlua, and espresso over the ice.
- If you want some sweetness, add simple syrup.
- Shake until frothy.
- Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass.
- Garnish with the coffee beans.
